| Topic | Answer |
| - | - |
| SOC 2 | In progress |
| Sandbox uptime | 99.95%, measured over the history of all sandboxes |
| Platform status | Live on [status.ascii.dev](https://status.ascii.dev) |
| Where data is stored | Machines in Germany, Finland and France. Snapshot copies can be stored outside the EU. |
| Erase your data (GDPR) | [Close your account](/data-retention/close-account) |
| Report a security issue | [Support](/support) |

## Uptime

Sandboxes have an uptime of 99.95%. Boat measures this over the history of all sandboxes.

* For the platform (the API, the dashboard, starts and stops), see the live status and its history at [status.ascii.dev](https://status.ascii.dev).
* A sandbox that stops answering has its own recovery steps. Read [Troubleshooting](/troubleshooting#a-sandbox-does-not-answer).
* For a production workload, write to [support](/support) before you launch. Tell us your expected starts per minute and sandboxes at once.

## Data location

* Sandboxes run on machines in Germany, Finland and France.
* Snapshot copies can be stored outside the EU.

How long Boat keeps each kind of data is on [Data retention](/data-retention#how-long-boat-keeps-data).

## Erase data

| Need | Page |
| - | - |
| Erase one sandbox or snapshot | [Delete](/data-retention/delete) |
| Keep nothing after a stop | [Zero data retention](/data-retention/zero-data-retention) |
| Erase your whole account (GDPR right to erasure) | [Close your account](/data-retention/close-account) |

## Report a security issue

Write to [support](/support). Put "security" in the subject. Do not post details in public channels such as Discord.

For how Boat isolates sandboxes and protects credentials, read [Security and isolation](/security).
