Pre-installed tools - boat

The OS is Ubuntu 24.04. Know these defaults before you run CI jobs:

These harnesses are installed system-wide, in /usr/local and /opt.
They take no space in your snapshots. They come back after a stop and resume.
Each harness signs in with its own login command.
Today, boat prompt and the Agents page drive claude and codex.
You can install your own copy, for example with npm i -g or the vendor installer into ~/.local/bin. Your copy hides the preinstalled one. Your snapshots keep it as usual.
